Hola, my name is Vanessa. In the Winter of 2014 I created the group Food & Friends Zurich on Meetup. Within short time our group grew into an extended network of foodies. I couldn’t be any happier about all the amazing people I met along the way and all our unforgettable events. Every event is very special to me and I’m always doing my best to make it even more special to you!

I was born in Lima, Peru and therefore my background, knowledge and expertise will provide you with tips for a tasty Peruvian meal. But, it’s not only about Peru. Since I am also an American citizen and lived several years in New York - “The culture capital city" and the greatest "Melting Pot" in the world - I was blessed with the rich traditions of diverse and authentic ethnic foods and cultures.

While in New York, my hobby was dinning in restaurants, trying different kinds of international food and learning how to cook a broad variety of dishes. From this experience, I believe that there are no limits when someone likes to cook. Any dish made with love results in a delicious meal!

I strongly believe in the sentence that we often say in South America: “Barriga llena, Corazon contento.”- “Full stomach – happy heart.”
